We are excited to welcome Destiny Gerhardt to the Community Home Partners team in the newly created role of Director of Programs and Compliance. This role is focused on agency contracts and compliance while overseeing all of the agency's programs. Collaborating with various departments, the Director of Programs and Compliance helps teams prepare for regular audits. This position also works with architects and engineers on the development side, which Destiny describes as an exciting new experience.
“Every day is different,” Destiny says, “It feels so great to be welcomed by staff.”
Destiny will be there to help ensure everything is in working order so CHP can continue to grow and carry on its mission.
“What they have visioned here is going to be awesome. I’m excited to get in and watch it become what it’s going to be,” Destiny says.
Destiny has a background in accounting and is currently working on her bachelor's at St. Ambrose. Before this position, she served as a housing programs manager for the City of Davenport for 10 years. Over time, her focus has become more on housing and less on accounting, and she is excited about these new developments in her career. She has enjoyed getting more experience within HUD (United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Department) and IHDA (Illinois Housing Development Authority). She says this position will provide her with some new and exciting opportunities, and she is excited to learn and grow with the CHP Team.
